Our Health Information Management and Medical Staffing Services

HCRS Services Overview

HCRS offers comprehensive and scalable health information management solutions to help clients deal with the multiple “tsunamis” threatening to overwhelm healthcare providers, private payers and Federal and state health agencies as healthcare enters the Age of Accountability.

Increasingly in the coming years, healthcare professionals – providers, public and private payers, third party administrators and regulators alike – will face relentless and growing pressure to achieve better results while lowering costs. It will become more critical than ever to squeeze fraud, waste and abuse out of the system. These organizations will be required to demonstrate their value proposition to budget-conscious lawmakers and employers, as well as an increasingly demanding and sophisticated public and press.

We provide the health information management solutions a healthcare organization will need to meet those challenges:

HCRS offers exceptional ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding accuracy and data quality, performed by AHIMA- or AAPC certified coders who will deliver a 98% accuracy rate and fast turn-around that will improve your reimbursements. We have the healthcare information management systems and the people in place to help you reduce huge backlogs.

Medical Records Auditing

HCRS performs a three-level review to validate coding accuracy; all reviews are performed by AHIMA- or AAPC-certified coder auditors with a minimum of five years of experience.

Program Integrity

HCRS will assess the quality and effectiveness of strategies, processes and operations, provide remedial healthcare information management solutions and conduct ongoing validation audits.

Data Quality

HCRS’s data quality experts understand how to capture an accurate representation of the care being provided through health systems. We offer a full spectrum of data quality analysis services including coding compliance and auditing, data collection and analysis and reimbursement analysis and recovery.

Medical Necessity Audits/DRG Audits

HCRS auditors will work to ensure payment integrity by evaluating the accuracy of diagnosis (DRG) and procedure (PCS) coding and the efficacy of medical record documentation of medical necessity. In addition to a diagnostic assessment, HCRS will provide remedial recommendations and training as necessary.

Training

As part of our health information management solutions, we will provide customized training created for your organization’s specific needs, for coding staff, nurses, support personnel, as well as physician training for proper documentation procedures that will ensure accurate and timely reimbursements.

Health & Medical Staffing – All Specialties

HCRS has extensive experience staffing health care professionals in all types of clinical and administrative support roles: physicians and nurses for all medical specialties, as well as medical office administrative and support personnel. We will also provide you with onsite or remote medical records coders and auditors, whether for a short-term backlog or to manage all of your healthcare information management system needs.

Performance Improvement

HCRS’s quality consultants have many years of experience in the measurement and improvement of clinical and administrative processes in healthcare systems and acute care hospitals. Our healthcare information management solutions have resulted in shortened lengths of stay for surgical procedures, reduced mortality rates among CABG patients, increased the percentage of acute care patients discharged timely, cut the incidence of decubiti in medical/surgical patients by over 80% and improved patient satisfaction scores across the board.
